The “Egiziano,” or “Egyptian” Radiomir, a massive 60mm dive watch was commissioned back in the mid-1950s by the Egyptian Navy. That watch was powered by a hand-wound Angelus movement that boasted an impressive eight-day power reserve. We are honored to see one of the rare and significant pieces: GPF 2/56 Big Egiziano, also called Egiziano Grosso, which is the archetype for contemporary Luminor Submersible and PAM 341, as well as the first underwater watch with a .50 of these watches were produced for the Egyptian Navy in 1956. The watches were made in two types one using the Angelus calibre 240, signed "Luminor", the other using the Rolex 16 lignes movement, signed "Radiomir" both ref:6152.
