Sometimes the reformulations is more successful than the original. Sometimes it hurts longevity or sillage. But none of that matters because there isn't a thing anyone can do about it. I come back home and after researching on it for a bit, it seems the general consensus is that the current reformulation is the closest it's ever been to the vintage Fahrenheit (pre-2005 and older). The latest happened around late 2014/early 2015, so I'm guessing you ended up with the latest reformulation with your newer bottle.
I'd tried the original Fahrenheit before, but that was some years back before all the reformulation. All I can say is that I prefer the current EDT to Le Parfum, which really is an exercise in futility, and it costs more too!
